Let's go to Japan! - Osaka(1)Totonbori

I went to Osaka with my aunt back to the Dec of 2009. There were no nuclear hesatation back to the old days. It was a fantastic trip and unforgettable. We arrived at Osaka Ken-sai airport. Then took JR Kensai express to Osaka station. (JR is the train service company) It only took 40minutes from the airport to Osaka station which is the heart of Osaka. I suggest everyone to buy vistor unimited pass at the station since train coverage in Japan is very good.

Station entry
 Rail route in Okinawa

The first place we went is Totonbori. It is a street that build across the Totonbori cannel. It located at the heart of Osaka. You can find a lot of fun in there. It has heaps of eat place/restaurant, entertainment store...

This resturant is recommended. it is a must try for me.
It calls Kani Doraku. Their crab meal is very famous.

Me and my aunt ordered a set dinner for 2 + a deep-fried crab.

First dish to come up is crab sashimi(raw). The sweetness of the crab i can still remember it.

 Deep-fried crab

This is char-grilled crab leg. Its very impressive how they get rip half of the shelf to serve.

Then I have hot pot with crab and other ingrediants such as tofu, veg, mushroom, etc. At the end, waitress will bring over rice and egg, put the rice and egg into the pot and mix together and let the rice absove the flavour in the soup and serve us.

Finish with green tea icecream.

If you are going to Totonbori, This is definately a MUST-GO. It located next to the bridge of Totonbori cannel. You can easily find it.

The land mark of Totonbori. It is Glico's giant electronic display of a runner. In the pic, behind the runner, there are 4 buildings represent Osaka which are: OSAKA CASTLE, OSAKA AQUARIUM KAIYUKAN, OSAKA DOME and TSUTENKAKU.

These toy machines can be seen every where in Totonbori.

New Taipai City - the country side of Taipei city

New Taipei City (Xinbei City) is the most popular city of Taiwan.  It surrounds Taiwan's capital city Taipei, and is bordered by Keelung to the northeast, Yilan Country to the southeast, and Taoyuan Country to the southwest.  Xinbei City had been administered as Taipei Country of Taiwan until its reorganisation as a special municipality on 25 December 2010.

Yeliu is a cape of about 1,700 meters long formed by Datun Mountain reaching into the sea.  The place is divided into three sections.  The first section has rocks like Queen's Head, Fairy's Shoe and Candle.  The second section has rocks like Bean Curd, Dragon Head and the third section has sea-eroded caves and seal shaped rock.

PingSi and Shifen are just two of several towns alongside highway 106, a narrow back road that runs between southern Taipei and southern Keeling.

Jiufen used to the center of gold mining in 1890.  It is located within the hills in northeast of Taiwan, the village is next to the mountain and facing the sea.  The most prosperous shopping district is Jiufen Old Street. It goes through most of the village and there are many visitors on the street.

Shifen, which means there used to be ten families working together to build the home.  It is located at the source of the Keelung River.  The power of the rushing water has modified the layers of rock formations, creating beautiful scenery and several clusters of waterfalls.

Fisherman's Wharf is a multi-purpose leisure fishing port developed by the New Taipei City Government.  There are magnificent floating pier and a spacious park, with a bridge in the shape of a boat spanning across the harbour and a wooden path stretching over 300 meters at the waterfront.  It is relaxing to lean against the fence enjoying the breeze and sights at the Danshui River.  In the evening, this is the best place to watch the view of sunset.

He was borned in Shangdong.
Therefore, the next station is to visit his former home and the place for teaching and discussing culture and knowledge problems.

 very traditional Chinese architecture style.
There are many pine trees planted because they indicate wisdom and long life, which imply the praise to Confucius and his theories and contribution.

Then let's go to back to the modern city, Qingdao.
It was the sailing place for 29th Olypic Games.

Because Qingdao has been  cede to Germany during the period of Eightpower Allied Force, therefore, the buildings in here involves the style of Europen.

The combination of western and Chinese culture is and other view point in this city.
